Magic Decanter Red Wine Aerator PLUS - Includes Sediment Filter & Travel Bag
WINE NEEDS TO BREATHE - Red wine which has been allowed to breathe tastes better. As wine breathes, it opens up, and releases its intended aromas and flavors. Traditionally, decanters were used to aerate wine. However, decanting can be time consuming, cumbersome, and inconvenient. Magic Decanter's design speeds up this process with ease and convenience. Perfect aeration can be achieved in the time it takes to pour a glass. ALL THE TASTE WITH NONE OF THE WAIT Simply hold the Magic Decanter over a glass and pour wine through. Magic Decanter draws in and mixes the proper amount of air for the right amount of time, allowing your wine to breathe instantly. You'll notice a better bouquet, enhanced flavors and smoother finish. IT'S THAT FAST...IT'S THAT EASY

Note that the "Fold Line" extending from the aeration hole is a normal part of the manufacturing process. This is not a defect, but part of manufacturing.

WORKS!!! by Val
Magic Decanter Aerator is just that - magic. I purchased this wanting to get the most out of my red wines.

This works by adding air as wine is poured through the device. It makes a loud "slurping" noise as the wine is sloshed around. My kids smelled the wine both ways. There is a noticeable softness in the aerated wine vs. the non-aerated. I also tested the wine before aerating and after. In addition to the softness in the bouquet, there is a smoothness in the aerated wine. I would not have believed this would make such a difference, but it does.

Quick note: the base of the unit is located in the bottom of the box, behind the black panel. I didn't notice it at first and placed the used aerator on a plate to avoid splattering wine on the table. I know that may sound silly when the photos clearly show the base. I guess in my excitement, I overlooked it. With the base, I don't think the optional stand (available in the more expensive model) is even worth it.
